Summer workshop June 5 2010
On this beautiful and sunny afternoon, Fondation Ida organised a summer workshop at the CHUV for approximately 15 hospitalised children.
This time we proposed to make very original puppets using kitchen utensils (soup ladles, colanders, wooden spoons). The children could let their imaginations run free and create their own puppets by giving them a face, an expression, a look...
The volunteers helped the children make dresses and hats from assorted fabrics, buttons and multicolored beads.
Two sewing machines were made available for the children who wanted to sew their own clothes for the puppets.
As always, everyone was enthusiastic and proud of their magnificent creations, and we hope we gave them an afternoon filled with pleasure and imagination.
For children who could not leave their rooms, the volunteers sewed the puppet´s clothes after the children had chosen their own fabrics.
