Solidarity workshop 12.11.2011
This Saturday, a group of volunteers organized a solidarity workshop at the Catholic Institute Mont-Olivet in Vich, in favour of Fondation Ida. During the workshop, participating children could make their own Advent calendars on big canvases.
The calendars turned out to be magnificent, as each one was unique and creative with lots of originality. The children glued little figurines here and there, such as red mushrooms, Santa’s, presents, decorated clothespins and pretty ribbons. Everyone used theirs own extraordinary fantasy and creativity.
Each calendar was then embellished with 24 little sachets, where the children placed a piece of chocolate and an ornament to hang on the Christmas tree. The children showed a lot of patience tying up all the sachets!
Our volunteer-pastry cook Alessia prepared a superb snack that the children enjoyed and appreciated, during this sharing experience we call “a gesture by children for other children”.
Thanks to our team of volunteers, this time Corinne, Tania, Alessia, Tessa, Ornella, Fabienne, Carine, Bény, Chloé, Irène, Marina et Noëline.
