Summer workshop 13th June 2009
Fondation Ida organized a summer workshop on Saturday 13th at the Department of Pediatric Oncology at the University Hospital in Lausanne.
During this workshop we made table decorations out of different materials each with integrated glass tube holders for inserting flowers.
Our volontary workers helped children who had to stay in their beds as well as children in the intensive care, to make the decorations in the rooms. For children who could move around and for visiting brothers and sister, an open workshop was organized in the playroom.
One child who preferred to stay in her room, was accompagnied by a volontary worker who read stories from her favorite books.
The children had great pleasure making the table decorations, and several of them gave the artistic vases to their mothers or placed them as decorations in their rooms.
