Winter workshop February 20 2010

On the occasion of the World Child Cancer Day, Fondation Ida organised a winter workshop on Saturday February 20, 2010 at CHUV. During this workshop, the children decorated piggy banks in porcelain with the « deco-patch » technique. Wonderful little « piggy banks » were quickly disguised, each one created with imaginative originality.
Many hospitalised children were present that day, as well as their brothers and sisters who participated with great pleasure in the workshop. Some of them rejoiced in slipping their first coins into the piggy bank.
The day was rich in exchanges between the children and we all had a delightful afternoon.  Also during the workshop, each child was able to choose a beautiful stone decorated with a painting, a «lucky-charm », hand-made by Fondation Ida volunteer Jenny and her daughter Katia. A small poem accompanied each stone.
